VIP Completions Earns ‘Maintenance Implementation Procedures’ Designation – Expanding its capabilities to Refurbish Aircraft Registered in Canada

Company unveils spectacular Bombardier Global 5500 – its first SSTC C-Reg refurbishment project

Fort Lauderdale, October 21, 2025 – VIP Completions, providers of aircraft completions and refurbishment services, today announced that it has earned a maintenance implementation procedures (MIPs) designation and has unveiled a fully refurbished Bombardier Global 5500 – its first Serialized Supplemental Type Certificate (SSTC) Canadian-registered (C-reg) aircraft refurbishment project.

MIPs are bilateral agreements between the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA). Certified organizations may work on aircraft registered in either country. MIPs standardize and simplify maintenance and travel across the US/Canada border. As its first MIPs project, VIP Completions has unveiled a Bombardier Global 5500.

The Global 5500 is an in-production long-range business jet that entered service in 2020 typically configured for 13 to 16 passengers. It is recognized for its speed, smooth ride and spacious cabin. With a range of 5,900 nautical miles, it can fly from Toronto to Doha non-stop.

Floor plan details of this specific aircraft include:

  • Forward galley, lavatory and crew rest area

  • Forward cabin with four club seats and retractable tables

  • Mid cabin conference suite with conference/dining table

  • Rear cabin with divan/bed and en-suite lavatory

Design highlights include:

  • Seats finished in contrasting Townsend leathers, including perforated inserts

  • Divan covered in Dedar Belsuede fabric

  • Lower sidewalls in Townsend Leather with Dedar Belsuede accents

  • Custom cabin carpet by Tai Ping

  • Bulkhead deco panels covered in Pierre Frey Portofino linen

  • Cabin curtains by Holland & Sherry

  • Pilot seats covered in Garrett sheepskin

“We are proud to have earned this coveted designation, which fully opens a new market for us,” says Ben Shirazi, President, VIP Completions. “Working with the FAA and TCCA, we are now able to serve Canadian clients with C-reg aircraft from our headquarters in Fort Lauderdale. There are about 600 business jets operating in Canada, so the opportunities to grow our North American market share are very attractive.”

“The Global 5500 that we have unveiled is our first SSTC project for a Canadian client. This is a 2021aircraft with very low hours. Working closely with our client, we proposed a subtle, modern interior aesthetic – featuring soft colors, clean textures and unique materials. Working with some of the most exclusive designer brands in the world, we have delivered an aircraft interior of unique beauty and opulence – a true reflection of our client’s taste and personal style. While the majority of our clients will certainly remain US-based, we now invite prospective clients with aircraft registered in Canada to contact us at their convenience,” adds Ben Shirazi.
